The file (grid_prosit150_1_2.geopackage, version 1.2) contains data provided by the institutional referent from the database of the soils of Tuscany 1:100,000 (Lorenzo Gardin). This delivery took place at the request of the CREA-AA working group. The grid nodes at 100m were created by intensifying the original INSPIRE grid at 1km. Each node in the grid is uniquely identified with coordinates in the reference system EPSG:3035 LAEA Europe. This resulted in just over 2,100,000 points for the whole of Tuscany. For project purposes, a selection was made for the vineyard areas only by applying a buffer (around) of 150 m on the basis of the vineyard areas surveyed by Artea in 2020. 297,557 grid points were selected.
At each point of the grid the most likely soil soil typological sub-unit code was assigned. This STS code is the key to attribute all the statistical pedological data provided by the Tuscany Region. The grid is supplied as a vector file of points in geopackage formats, manageable through the QGIS (https://www.qgis.org/it/site) software.
